New Zealand designer's photo series celebrates the elegance of aging
Not only is age nothin’ but a number -- it can be a asset when it comes to style.
That’s something the man behind the blog Advanced Style, Ari Seth Cohen, knows well. He photographs sartorially wise, older mature women and men for a living. Now, he’s partnered with Karen Walker for campaign with a difference.
Continuing the New Zealand designer’s penchant for bold campaigns that celebrate diversity in all its forms, the series of images features Walker’s new “Magic Hands” collection and celebrate the beauty of ageing, with eye-catching and colourful photos zooming in on the hands of Cohen’s stunning subjects.

"Hands can be every bit as expressive as faces. These Magic Hands speak of a life well-lived and they absolutely have their own stories to tell," Walker said in a statement. The models have some incredible back stories too.

The other model is 78-year-old Roberta Haze, an original cast member of West Side Story in the ‘60s. No biggie.
The collaboration marks the second occasion that pair have worked together to celebrate the elegance of older women. They also teamed up on a series of portraits for Walker’s cult eyewear label.
