And now his beard has ended.
Kit Harington/Jon Snow was spotted Wednesday night and to the chagrin of Game of Thrones fans, was missing his trademark facial hair.

Is it because Jon Snow no longer needs scruff to keep warm at Castle Black? Is it because Jon Snow dies this season (again) and Kit needed to change up his look? Is it because this man is really Arya Stark posing as Jon Snow using her Faceless Men training?
Probably none of the above, though we're sure Reddit will construct a better fan theory in no time.

Harington was caught beardless in London following a show of Doctor Faustus, which he is currently starring in (explaining the goth makeup).
Of course, the actor has ditched the beard previously, most memorably for the film 7 Days in Hell.
But -- thanks no doubt to the Lord of the Light's magic -- Jon's beard has always managed to grow back.
