Proud to be a #kinkychick.

Laverne Cox has never shied away from prompting messages of self-love and embracing your true self so it came as no surprise that she approached the topic of her natural hair the same way.

The Orange is the New Black star took to Instagram to share some pictures from a photoshoot she did in January. Cox explained in her caption that "this is the look I was most excited about" when talking about rocking her natural hair.

The star also revealed that while she does wear "protective styles, wigs and hair pieces for my everyday styles," she hasn't relaxed her hair in six years and is excited to see where her hair journey takes her.

She obviously slays with any type of hair.
