Fifth grade love note proves that love is not dead

Your heart always remembers your first crush.

Adults know that these crushes typically last a few weeks, but even in hindsight, most people wouldn't trade the experience of their first crush for anything.

The extremely awkward nature of most preteens means that they're not always equipped to express this newfound love, but one fifth grader clearly has his technique down.

The note, which was originally uploaded to Reddit by the girl's uncle, who clearly loves embarrassing his niece.

Dear Abby,

Your eyes remind me of the evening sky. My heart felt like broken glass until I saw you, and then I felt like I had every Pokémon ever. I love how you okay Zelda even when people think it's weird. If you liked me it would be my first ever victory.

Yes. The young boy claimed that if Abby liked him back, it would be his first-ever victory.

While the wording of the note may be poetic, the uncle explains that the boy in love had a little bit of help from the other girls in his class.
