Maisie Williams is worried her looks will affect the work she gets after 'Game of Thrones'
Maisie Williams has spoken about life after Game of Thrones and the difficulty of finding work in a "very shallow" industry.
The Game of Thrones actress thinks that, because of the way she looks, there are some leading lady type roles that she won't be in the running for after she leaves Westeros.
"It's only now I'm starting to realise the characters that are available to me because of the way I look and the characters that aren't available to me," Williams told The Irish Times.
"It's a very shallow industry. And I don't look like someone who is cast in roles that are, well, sexualised."
Alongside Game of Thrones, it's worth noting that Wililams has already built up a pretty impressive CV.
Last year she starred in the Netflix original iBoy, she recently had a main role in the latest Aardman animation Early Man, and her iMDB page shows a bunch of titles in post-production.
But Williams is clearly concerned about what the future holds -- and the weight the movie industry places on a certain type of look.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm completely in awe of Hollywood's leading ladies," she said. "I love looking at those totally jaw-droppingly beautiful women.
"But I think it's sad that you only get to see one type of beautiful on screen."
