Mariah Carey has posted a heartbreaking tribute to a fan who was killed in the Manchester attack.

29-year-old Martyn Hett was a Mariah super-fan who penned a piece for the Manchester Evening News professing his love for the pop legend.

Hett, who was a YouTuber, posted a video in 2015 of the time he met Mariah, which he described as "the best day in my entire life. Ever." Hett's Twitter bio reads "my life peaked when I met Mariah Carey."

He stole the internet's heart in late 2016 after starting a Twitter campaign to save his mum's knitting business.

Carey posted a photo of Hett, stating she was "devastated" to learn that one of the Manchester victims was part of the "#Lambily" -- Carey's fanbase.

"We will cherish your memory forever. His family and all the families affected are in my thoughts and prayers," wrote Carey. Hett posted his last ever tweet during the Ariana Grande concert, stating that he -- along with the rest of the crowd -- snuck out during "Leave Me Lonely" which features Macy Gray.

Rest in peace Martyn.
