Does this mean we're getting a new handheld Zelda game soon as well?

Nintendo's got a new Zelda-themed 2DS XL and it's modeled after Link's iconic Hylian shield. That spiffy shield design may not keep out the ever-encroaching hellscape that is 2018, maybe adding it to your collection will make you feel a little better.

The $159 "Hylian Shield Edition" Nintendo 2DS XL is a GameStop exclusive offering. It'll be out on July 2, and will come pre-loaded with The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds -- that's one of the best Zelda games to date, folks.

There's not much more to be said here. It's a new 2DS XL that does all the same things as older 2DS XLs. It just comes packaged in a prettier shell, with a great Zelda game pre-installed, and you can only buy it at GameStop.

Seeing is believing. Take a look at this thing.
