13 times Prince George absolutely slayed British fashion
LONDON -- Prince George is -- without a shadow of a doubt -- the most stylish 3-year-old on the planet.
Whether he's attending royal engagements, playing in his family home in Norfolk or even travelling for a royal tour, George is always bringing his fashion A-game.
The future king -- who's currently third in line to the throne -- has a distinctly retro look, and he never fails to delight the world with his adorable outfits.
Here are 13 times the prince brought British style to a whole new level.
1. Soldier swagger
Here's 1-year-old Prince George posing for an official Christmas photo at Kensington Palace back in November 2014. George cuts a fine figure wearing a knitted navy tank top emblazoned with soldiers, complete with long black socks.
2. Dapper dungarees
To say that Prince George is a fan of dungarees is an understatement. George ~lives~ for dungarees. Here he is sporting his wardrobe staple during a play group at Government House in Wellington, New Zealand, in April 2014 during the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's first official trip overseas with their son.
3. Signed, sealed, delivered
In celebration of the Queen's 90th birthday, Prince George's happy little face -- and his exquisite style -- was turned into a special edition stamp. George looked very smart indeed in teal long socks and matching shorts, and a crisp white shirt. Nicely done, George.
4. Voyager chic
George knows the importance of dressing comfortably when travelling. On his first official trip overseas with his parents, George donned a cosy looking white knitted cardigan along with -- yep, you guessed it -- shorts and cute sandals.
5. Sweater weather
Even in the chillier autumn months, George is not about to ditch his beloved shorts. For this family photograph taken in late October 2015 at Kensington Palace, George looked debonair in a pale blue jumper, paired with blue shorts and long socks.
6. Rosy red
Another day, another excellent cardigan. Here's George sporting a racing car red cardi as he boards his flight home to the UK after his royal visit to Australia in 2014.
7. First day of school
The first day of school is a maaaaayjor moment. Prince George obviously wanted to make a good impression so he ditched his usually retro clobber for something more contemporary, a quilted coat and a pale blue backpack. Trendy.
8. Presidential loungewear
It's not everyday that one gets a visit from the president of the United States, but unfortunately that visit coincided with Prince George's bedtime. Disaster! As he's only little, he still managed to pull off wearing his PJs and a cute white dressing gown as he met the president and first lady.
9. Christening clobber
When his sister, Princess Charlotte, got christened, George needed to look the part. He rocked his signature T-bar sandals with some daring red shorts and an embroidered Peter Pan collar shirt. Cute doesn't even do this outfit justice.
10. Après ski
It's important to look good on the slopes. And it's not easy warding off the chill while still looking well put together? Prince George wore a Scandi knit bobble hat and navy snowsuit during a family skiing holiday in the French Alps in March 2016.
11. At the zoo
While visiting the bilby enclosure at Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia, George opted for a dressed-down, casual look. A blue and white polo shirt paired up with blue shorts while he hung out with a bilby called George.
12. Aviator cool
During a visit to the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire in July 2016, Prince George opted for a simple, pared back look; a crisp white polo shirt and navy shorts. Classy.
13. Puppy love
George has proven that he scrubs up well in formal attire. But, he also likes to kick back with his pal Lupo in the garden of the Duke and Duchess' family home in Norfolk. Here he wears a simple striped T-shirt and blue shorts to play in the garden.
