Don't worry, no one was hurt, including the workers seen on the tower awaiting the clock face's arrival. The Cincinnati-based Verdin Clock Company, who was handling renovations, gave the Lafayette Journal & Courier the following statement about the incident.

We've reached out to Purdue for further comment on how long it will take for repairs but at least even a broken clock is correct twice a day.
