After winning a match against the top ranked Super Smash Bros. Melee player in the world on Sunday, Juan "Hungrybox" Debiedma popped out of his chair in excitement, slapped a CRT television, and kicked the chair he just knocked over.

Two days later, he tweeted a picture of his foot in a walking boot.

Hungrybox, clearly thinking he may have broken his foot while celebrating his victory over Adam "Armada" Lindgren at Smash 'N' Splash 3, went to the doctor to get it checked out. Luckily he didn't break or fracture any of his bones, but he did cause some heavy tissue damage to himself and has to give the foot some rest in a walking boot.

Not exactly the kind of injury to get from an competitive gaming event.

Here is the moment that Hungrybox won the match and popped off:

After kicking the chair, Hungrybox grabs his foot and hops up and down for a moment, visibly in pain. Luckily he stopped there and didn't keep battering things or he could have done some serious damage to himself.

He had reason to be excited, though. Armada and him have had a bit of rivalry going since the pair developed into the undisputed top two players in competitive Melee. Armada has won nearly every matchup against Hungrybox since Hungrybox's gran finals win at Evo 2016 last July.

This time though, Hungrybox prevailed and took the set 3-2 with a dominant performance in the final game, giving him a ticket to the grand finals.

Hungrybox ended up winning Smash 'N' Splash 3, so hopefully his trophy and prize money are enough to quell the physical pain he's experiencing.
