Twenty years ago, Smash Mouth were "all stars with their game on" -- and now they're fighting hard on Twitter to hold onto that mantle.

Hard, and shamelessly.

The battle started over a year ago after a Twitter user accused Smash Mouth of only becoming famous because of their Shrek contributions, including "All Star." Since then, user after user have lodged similar complaints -- and Smash Mouth's Twitter account has fought back, nearly every single time.

Smash Mouth will not tolerate any mouthing off.

"Just saying."

They're just really sensitive, ok? But please - whatever you do, get your math right.

They'll always be all stars in our hearts.
