Stephen Colbert rounds up the weirdest moments from the final Democratic debate

The final Democratic debate before the Iowa caucuses lurched onto screens on Tuesday night, signaling the beginning of the end of the beginning of the nomination saga, and Stephen Colbert (aka "one truly exhausted husk of a late night host") is just one of the people ready for it to be almost nearly over.

Taking to the Late Show soundstage in a live broadcast after the debate, Colbert broke down the high- and lowlights of the Des Moines debate, which involved a measly six candidates — all of them, as Colbert notes, white. (That's a lowlight, if you're counting.)

"Once again, J.Lo was robbed," he joked.

Other notable awkward moments included Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders continuing their spat about whether or not Sanders once told Warren a woman could win in 2020, and CNN's weird framing of the question to both candidates. Colbert had a little dig at Bernie Bros' existing reputation for sexism, noting: "If you want to see Bernie say nice things about female presidential candidates, go to YouTube. If you want to see his supporters saying terrible things about them, go to the comment section."

Colbert also seemed to enjoy Warren's savage retort about how many more elections the men on the stage had lost than the women, two super awkward moments for Amy Klobuchar, and a couple of opportunities to dunk on Pete Buttigieg and Sanders for being young and old, respectively.

Just 292 days til the election, folks.
