Things quickly went off the rails during Snickers' attempt to make the first-ever live Super Bowl commercial -- but it was all according to plan.

It started when Adam Driver wanders into the western-themed scene, seemingly unaware the shoot had started. He misses the cue to shoot his bandit co-stars and knocks over the hotel front, triggering all-out chaos.

The appearance of the candy brand's tagline then reveals the gimmick to anyone who might have actually thought the meltdown was real.

"You ruin Super Bowl commercials when you're hungry," the brand's familiar punchline read.

Snickers continued to play along with the joke on Twitter after the ad aired.
