Your Amazon Echo now has the ability to answer your burning question about 12 Monkeys.

On Friday, Syfy became the first entertainment network to launch an Alexa skill for the voice-enabled Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Amazon Tap and Amazon Fire TV.

Developed by Syfy Labs, the network's innovation center, and NBCUniversal Media Labs, the new skill will be like a talking DVD extra and wiki rolled into one, with behind-the-scenes previews, Easter eggs, schedule info and episode info for shows like 12 Monkeys, Hunters and the upcoming fourth installment of the Sharknado franchise.

Alexa has the answer to burning questions, like what vegetarian zombies eat on Z Nation.

An example: If you were to ask Alexa -- the brain behind Amazon Echo, et al. -- what happened on the most recent episode of 12 Monkeys, she'd give you a recap. She also has the answer to bigger burning questions, like what vegetarian zombies eat on Z Nation.

“We’re excited to work with NBC Universal to bring the Syfy skill to our Alexa customers,” said Rob Pulciani, Amazon Alexa Director. “Many of our customers are die-hard science-fiction fans, so we think they’re going to love all this great content now available to them. They can find out when their favorite Syfy show is coming on, what happened last week or what's coming up, all in a convenient, simple way using just their voice.”

Matthew Chiavelli, senior vice president for Syfy Digital adds: “Whether it’s VR, 3D printing or integrating the Internet of Things into viewing experience, Syfy Labs delivers new and innovative ways for fans to experience and interact with the network’s programming. Since innovation and imagination are part of Syfy’s brand DNA, we’re thrilled to join the growing list of skills available on Alexa-enabled devices."

The announcement comes just months after the network expanded their January 2016 deal with MakerBot to make plans for printable 3D models from their shows available to the public. They now have over two dozen designs available via Thingiverse

Syfy Labs -- which focuses on bringing the network's programming to life with technology and immersive, multi-platform content -- also has deals to bring special content to Google Cardboard, the Samsung Gear VR and Philips Hue lights, which will use Syfy Sync to create custom-built “light tracks” for some of its shows.
