Taylor Swift picked up the first-ever Taylor Swift Award at the BMI Pop Awards, and we can all agree that Beyoncé was totally robbed.

Swift is the second artist to be given a BMI Award named after them -- the first was Michael Jackson, who is certainly a legendary artists. But did he ever win the Taylor Swift Award? Nope!

Unfortunately, this will likely be the only time the prestigious Taylor Swift Award is given to Taylor Swift. There's currently a blank space on next year's Taylor Swift Award.

In conclusion, Taylor Swift!

Update, May 1, 4:50 p.m. ET:

Tay has shared her acceptance speech -- she's "relieved" they didn't pick some other Taylor Swift to win the Taylor Swift Award.

BMI created an award called The Taylor Swift Award because BMI is very very nice 😘
