MTV is already discussing a future 'Teen Wolf' reboot before the current 'Teen Wolf' even says goodbye

If your favorite television show comes to an end, have no fear — with our new obsession over reboots, that baby will probably get a redo not too long after going off the air.

Need proof? Just look at Teen Wolf, which is reportedly being discussed for a revival before the current series even closes.

Seriously.

The Hollywood Reporter shared on Wednesday that MTV is already discussing a reboot of its beloved werewolf teen drama, which may seem like madness considering ... we're still a few weeks away before the premiere of the current Teen Wolf's final 10 episodes.

Though the series hasn't technically ended yet, showrunner Jeff Davis is reportedly already considering a reboot with the network that would feature new cast members with the possibility of returning favorites.

"These characters and these stories have hit a peak," MTV president Chris McCarthy told THR. "We are talking with Jeff about how do we actually keep that franchise alive. And the beauty of the evolution of media is you can see the series going on through a series of podcasts and then see a resurrection of a new class in a couple years."

Teen Wolf's final-season trailer is reportedly MTV's most streamed television finale of all time, according to THR, so it's clear why the network wants to keep things going.

In addition to a possible revival show, post-series finale Teen Wolf will also carry on its narrative in the form of a podcast. (Because why not?!) The podcast is expected to start soon after the series finale, serving as a nice placeholder to keep fans hungry for a potential reboot.

"We want to give it enough time to let the series finale marinate a year or so, and then when we find the right story and the right cast, look to resurrect it," McCarthy said.

Looks like you won't have to wait too long to see your favorite shows come back after all.
