A Tory 'strong and stable' van overturned and, oh the irony

Everyone's making the same joke.

After hearing the buzzphrase "strong and stable" being uttered endlessly during Theresa May's campaign, a van with the slogan emblazoned on it overturned in the wind on a motorway.

Nobody was injured when the van turned on its side on the M6, but motorists faced long delays as emergency services arrived on the scene and a 30mile-per-hour speed limit was put in place.

Social media users seized on the obvious metaphor. They also referenced that time a rainbow appearing during a Jeremy Corbyn speech:

Strong and stable, indeed.
