Pro-Trump ranter banned for life by Delta because flying is bad enough without this guy

The airline has no truck with Trump rants. Or tailwind. Or whatever.

If you were planning on abusing a plane full of passengers with your excited about a presidential victory anytime soon, bad news: Delta Air Lines doesn't want any part of it.

The news comes from the airline after a video of a Trump supporter yelling at other passengers on a Delta flight went viral over the weekend. The spontaneous orator in question opted to share some uniquely poetic, philosophical nuggets, such as "Donald Trump, baby!" and "We got some Hillary bitches on here."

Needless to say, because anyone doing anything on a plane is a base-level of annoying, his fellow passengers weren't exactly crazy about this:

As the video circulated, so did a sense of public shock that the man wasn't booted off the plane, right then and there.

On Saturday, Delta apologized in a statement, saying:

"We are sorry to our customers who experienced this disruption. We have followed up with the teams involved and all agree that this customer should not have been allowed to continue on the flight. Our responsibility for ensuring all customers feel safe and comfortable with Delta includes requiring civil behavior from everyone. The behavior we see in this video does not square with our training or culture and follow up will continue so we can better ensure our employees will know they will be fully supported to make the right decisions when these issues arise."

And on Monday, the airline doubled-down, and announced that the man in the video is banned from ever flying Delta Air Lines ever again.

Delta CEO Edward Bastian said in an internal memo that the flight crew didn't witness the behavior shown in the video and that, if they had, "there is no question they would have removed him from the aircraft. He will never again be allowed on a Delta plane."

Bastian continued, "The heightened tension in our society means that now more than ever we must require civility on our planes and in our facilities."
