LOS ANGELES -- iHeartMedia and and What's Trending gave the classic telethon a twist with help from digital influencers.
On Wednesday evening, the company brought together dozens of YouTube stars for the fourth "#Tubeathon," a one-day fundraising event to benefit the American Red Cross.
The show, hosted by Shira Lazar, Bart Baker, Quddus and Taryn Southern, was designed to increase public emergency preparedness. It included a handful of musical performances, live entertainment and celebrity appearances.
