When checking Twitter, you expect a light chuckle, some news, probably some memes and dog pics. What you don't expect is to see your dad's face pop up as a meme.

Alex Leavy was scrolling through Twitter when she came across a picture of an older dude photobombing a selfie with what looks like a pretty creepy leer.

The tweet was shared by user @tooshortforwhat on Tuesday, when she noticed the man overshadowing her selfie.

The original tweet itself received a lot of buzz, as funny (and definitely awkward) pictures are prone to do.

But for Leavy it resonated a bit differently, considering she immediately recognized that the dude in the picture was none other than her father.

And she did what anyone would do: she told Twitter.

That little bit of honesty made Leavy's discovery quickly go viral with over 400,000 likes and 84,000 retweets.

Leavy told Buzzfeed that her father couldn't even remember the picture being taken. She said he is blind in one eye and told her that he was just looking down.

There were a ton of questions about Leavy's father and she tweeted some of the more asked ones, particularly about his sweet tie.

She also shared this goofy picture of her dad.

Apparently this isn't the first time Leavy's dad and his antics have risen to the spotlight.

Next time you're scrolling through viral Twitter posts, keep a sharp eye out. You never know when you're gonna recognize one of your parents rising to internet fame by doing something problematic.
