Look, we get it. Licensing and copyright issues are complicated and expensive.

When coming up with "versions" of well known pop culture costumes knock-off companies have a quick solution: Whip out a thesaurus and paraphrase.

That's what author and EW correspondent Dana Schwartz spotted when she shared a particularly obvious "interpretation".

A yellow plaid outfit remarkably similar to that worn by Alicia Silverstone as Cher in the '90s classic Clueless is being sold by the costume maker Costume Culture by Franco as "Notionless".

It prompted people on Twitter to share other glaringly obvious examples.

Why even think of another name when you can just go for a homonym (kind of)?

Honestly, Neo from The Matrix would probably be completely fine with the name "Cyber Man". Not so sure about "Padre," though.
