No fans love a trail of breadcrumbs more than Westworld fans. And in the run-up to the show's Season 3 premiere, HBO is taking full advantage of the fandom's dogged treasure hunter mentality.

One fan has unearthed three new trailers for "Westworld III," which premieres on March 15. A Reddit user in the r/Westworld community (via io9/Gizmodo) found them by scouring the real website of a (hopefully fictional) Westworld universe tech company, Incite. The Incite website and promotional video surfaced in November with the creepy value proposition "say goodbye to the chaos of today and hello to the promise of tomorrow."

HBO dropped the official trailer on Thursday, which depicts Dolores attempting to start a robot revolution in the real world, and Maeve deputized to stop her — with a samurai sword.

The new trailers use much of the same footage, but with different packaging, and more Maeve, Dolores, and new character Caleb (played by Aaron! Paul!) dialogue.

Reddit user u/MTC_Chickpea found them in the "Privacy Act" section of the Incite website. When you click on this tab, a video starts playing with some fake backend code, and then it goes into the official Westworld trailer. However! After several plays, MTC_Chickpea writes that the video surfaced new suggested videos. Through some VPN manipulation, they were able to find more.

Here's the original trailer for some baseline comparison:

Here's the secret trailer that's closest to the original. Instead of the always perfectly eerie Ramin Djawadi's orchestral version of "Sweet Child O' Mine" that plays in the official trailer, we get a cryptic new Maeve/Dolores/Caleb voiceover. That starts playing around 1:30.

The next secret trailer packages the new content in cliche platitudes. Westworld, like its 'bots, is usually a self-aware show. This seems too heavy-handed to be entirely serious.

And this next trailer is just... the best. We'll let you watch for yourself.

Westworld: now with 35 percent more romance!
