Liz Pullen

Liz Pullen is a sociologist/ethnographer based in New Jersey. She holds degrees in Economics, Religious Studies & Sociology and has taught at universities & seminaries in California, New Jersey & New York. Before beginning a qualitative research project on online social communities, with a focus on Twitter, she was a Research & Teaching Fellow working on the Lilly-Funded Ecologies of Learning (EOL) Project based at New York Theological Seminary. A five-year grant project, EOL examines how religious groups in New York City are influenced by their neighborhoods and how they can effectively address social problems in their communities. Liz has also worked as a website copywriter and administered the Hispanic Institute for Theology at Drew University for 3 years. She Tweets as @nwjerseyliz and has a blog, Spiral Scratch, named after her first radio program at KDVS-FM.
