TL;DR: ClassPass, the app that helps you schedule fitness classes without crazy fees, is offering one-month free trials instead of its usual seven-day trials.

New Year's resolutions — especially ones related to fitness — always seem to be the butt of the joke.

But most of the time, the reasons behind giving up on a fitness goal aren't because you simply don't care enough. It's because your options suck.

That can be changed with a ClassPass membership. The app service's sole purpose is to help you find fitness classes that fit your schedule, location, and skill level. As part of its limited-time holiday deal, ClassPass is letting you test it out for a month for free. It's also a no-brainer last-minute gift (that doesn't require any shipping!) for anyone you know who's unhappy with their current workout routine — or lack thereof.

Many people turn to exercise as a means of relieving anxiety. So why is signing up for those trendy, super-busy fitness studios so anxiety-inducing? The ClassPass system aims to make class times as flexible as possible, offering options ranging from 45 to 90 minutes long to comply with your needs. If you don't like one, canceling is easy — and there are hundreds of other classes in your city to try instead of resorting to boring machines at your home gym.

A one-month free trial (instead of the usual seven days) gives you more time to jump around from hot yoga to cycling to boxing, giving you a better idea of what's up your alley before you actually pay to commit. Classes are "priced" in credits, and vary depending on time, location, popularity, and amenities, but shouldn't even out to more than $10 per class. Considering one Peloton studio class will run you $20, ClassPass is a pretty great value.

Sign up for your free trial here. After that, ClassPass plans range anywhere from $9 to $159 per month and from one to 32 classes per month.
