If Jurassic Park is your idea of a fun vacation and Ross Geller is your hero, this class will be your dream come true.

Coursera offers a course in Dinosaur Paleobiology, amazingly titled "Dino 101" and taught by Professor Philip John Currie of the University of Alberta. This class provides "a comprehensive overview of non-avian dinosaurs" from dinosaur anatomy all the way to their extinction. Each module includes at least three video lessons that are filmed in museums, labs, and dig sites — AKA where dinosaur research actually happens.

Over the 12-week course you'll have access to all of the modules as well as a class forum where you can interact with other students. After the 12 weeks are over, assuming you pass all your lessons, you'll get a electronic course certificate that you can add to your LinkedIn profile or print out. I definitely want a framed Dino 101 certificate hanging above my desk.

The next course starts in a few days, but they're constantly rolling courses so if you miss it you can still sign up for the next go-round. Plus, if you fall behind, you can sign up for the next session and all of your coursework will transfer with you.

The only thing that would make this class better is if it was taught by Professor John Hammond himself.

Prior to Mashable, Emily wrote for CollegeHumor and Reductress and most recently worked at a very bro-y tech startup. She lives in Brooklyn with three dudes, a cat who acts like a dog and a dog who acts like a houseplant.
