Save 30%: As of March 7, the 13.3-inch 2021 Samsung Galaxy Book Pro is down to $699.99 at Amazon — a $300 drop from its usual $999.99 and its lowest price ever.

A powerful yet travel-friendly ultrabook can be a tricky thing to find. Ultraportables are often lightweight at the expense of serious computing, while larger powerhouses feel like a brick in a backpack.

Samsung found the sweet spot with its 13.3-inch Galaxy Book Pro, which has returned to record-low pricing for the first time since Black Friday. At $699.99 compared to its usual $999.99, it's hundreds cheaper (and a pound lighter) than the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro with similar configurations, even on sale.

A 13-inch AMOLED display is a rare find, automatically making the Galaxy Book Pro stand out against competition. Colors are vibrant and blacks are deep, automatically adjusting to your surroundings to offer an immersive, high-contrast view (even in direct sunlight). This'll be great for streaming, of course, but could also be appealing for people who use their laptop on their commute.

There are no dedicated graphics, but we don't recommend a Galaxy Book as your dedicated gaming laptop anyway. However, the the 11 generation Intel-Evo processor and 8 GB RAM are more than zippy enough for your most chaotic Chrome tab situation or power-sucking work software. Even with heavy use, the Galaxy Book Pro should last 14 to 16 hours on a single charge — a real feat for a laptop of this type.
