There’s no doubt you’ve seen at least a few Instagram or Facebook posts that show off a collection of well-balanced, beautifully arranged meals for the week. Meal prepping is an art — as evidenced by the fact that it’s all over your feed.

Meal prepping has numerous benefits: it saves time and money, decreases food waste, and assists with portion control and a healthier diet. But no matter how great this all may sound, it’s intimidating to those who don’t know where to start. If you’re anything like me, you may feel like you need Kindergarten level directions on how to eat healthy (and actually enjoy it.)

A few nutrition-loving individuals launched a Kickstarter project that can guide you through the process: say hello to Prepd, the smart lunchbox and smartphone app that are now available on Amazon.

This is probably the first time you’ve heard the term “smart” go with something like a lunchbox, but it could seriously be the calming presence you need to maneuver through the world of meal prepping. The lunchbox’s exterior is handcrafted from bamboo while the interior features a modular food storage container system, meant for specific sizes of portions from the recipes on the app.

The Prepd app is like having your own personal chef (except for the fact that you’re doing the cooking). It has an insane variety of meal choices, featuring different cuisines, multiple options for plant lovers, even pizza. The step-by-step directions are laid out clearly and specify which meals go with which containers. It really could not be easier.

With Prepd, you’ll be a meal prepping pro in no time. Check it out here.
