Remember the days, so long ago, when we all walked around inhibited by the wires attached to our earbuds? Now, we've reached a point where Bluetooth earbuds are not only commonplace, but packed with fancy features like active noise cancellation and spatial audio.
Maybe this sounds crazy, but underneath all the bells and whistles, I'm willing to bet most people (especially if they're paying a bit more) want a pair of earbuds that, at the very least, sound pretty nice. The good news is that ask does not require dropping a ton of cash.
As of Oct. 8, the Sennheiser CX True Wireless Earbuds are on sale for just $99.95 at Amazon. Maybe you already recognize the name, but if you don't, Sennheiser products are known for their audio quality, which is certainly a feature we've praised once or twice before.
These buds will sound good right out of the gate, but you can also pair them to the Smart Control app to adjust the audio balance, or use a special EQ preset to boost the bass of your tunes. The passive noise cancellation will also help whatever you're listening to stay center stage — their 27 hour battery helps a bit with that, too.
Sure, these buds don't have the sleekest design (though they come in both black and white and have four ear adapter sizes). And though they're splash-resistant, they don't have the water resistance of some other higher-priced options. But if you're looking for a pair of sound-first earbuds at a reasonable price point, the Sennheiser CX True Wireless buds could definitely mark the end of your search.
