Pollution fueled by plastic production has soared over the past few decades, and it's no secret that the oceans (and its cute creatures) have been hit the hardest. One of the main contributors to plastic waste comes in the form of disposable water bottles.

A few ocean advocates have created a Kickstarter project to combat the plastic waste issue. Their solution comes in the form of a water bottle design and app that hopes to redefine convenience. Meet the Closca Bottle.

Regardless of where you're going, the Closca Bottle can be a crazy easy travel companion. The magnetic silicon flap can be used to strap the bottle to just about anything: a purse or backpack strap, a bike, a stroller — it's virtually hands free, and doesn't require a giant bottle-sized pocket.

This super convenient bottle also comes with a smart app that locates the closest places to refill your water bottle — whether that be a local restaurant, coffee shop, or retail store. The idea is that be retraining people to refill rather than buy, Closca will be able to cut back on plastic waste and maybe even change the world.

Back the campaign and get the early bird prices here.
