Gift giving truly is an art-form. And it's something that takes a lot of time and energy to master. You may know the recipient really well, but if you haven't made a conscientious effort to select something special for them, your gift is going to be lacking.

There are quite a few tried and tested strategies when it comes to gift giving. You could go down the handmade route, but this takes a lot of skill to avoid producing something naff. You could also throw money at the problem, but your budget could be tight. Both of these are credible options, but nothing compares to ethical gifting.

You probably have loads of friends and family to buy for throughout the year, so keeping your eyes peeled for charitable companies and nonprofit organisations to support is something that benefits everyone. You need to pick a cause, but with all the options out there and all those people to buy for, this shouldn't be a problem.

Absolutely loads of brands and retailers sell products and donate some of the proceeds to vital causes like wildlife conservation, refugee empowerment, and mental health care. Some of these brands will be familiar to everyone, and others are unknown in comparison. Either way, you'll be giving something back by supporting these organisations.

To start off your search, we have tracked down some of the best gifts that will help to make a difference all around the world.

These are the best gifts that give something back in 2025.
