If "American man with troubled past turns to spy agency and suddenly becomes gifted killer" sounds like a familiar movie plot, that's because it is. But that won't stop folks from watching Dylan O'Brien as younger-Matt-Damon-with-much-more-hair Mitch Rapp in The Bourne Identity Part 8 American Assassin.

The movie's based on a book of the same name, and features a young man who turns to fighting terrorists after his fiance is murdered on a beach. But seeing as how he's just a dude on a beach when this happens, he first has to learn the CIA black ops ropes from a guy named Stan Hurley, played by Michael Keaton.

From there, much fighting and blazing of guns ensues.

The movie is set to open on Sept. 15.
