In his first interview since the Access Hollywood tapes, Billy Bush finally gets candid.

It's been over a year since the tape of Donald Trump bragging about sexual assault leaked, and the former television host was implicated in the backlash. On Monday, he voiced his concerns about Trump's denial of the tape on air, just hours after he penned a New York Times op-ed regarding the situation.

"Last week for some reason came out with 'that's not my voice on the tape'—you can't do that. I was there, you were there, that's your voice on the tape," Bush said, explaining that he had read the account of women accusing the president of sexual assault. "Twenty women don't get together and say, 'You know what would be really fun? Let's take down a powerful guy together.' No they don't," he continued. "Stop playing around with people's lives."

Bush explained that in the moment, he believed that Trump was simply putting on a performance and not actually bragging about sexual assault. Colbert and Bush then analyzed the president's remarks in the video.
