You've never seen a zombie movie quite like Final Cut — well, unless you've already seen Shin'ichirô Ueda's One Cut of the Dead, the film it's remaking.

In this meta comedy from Academy Award-winner Michel Hazanavicius, an intrepid crew of filmmakers sets out to make a low-budget zombie flick. Things get hairy when real zombies attack, and the unhinged director (Romain Duris) keeps rolling in order to get real emotion out of his actors.

Things get even hairier when you realize the zombie movie about the making of a zombie movie is also part of an even larger movie about the chaotic making of a zombie movie. Sound confusing? That's because Final Cut's (and One Cut of the Dead's) wacky twists and turns simply need to be seen to be believed.

Final Cut hits theaters July 14.
