Fox Searchlight has released a powerful trailer for Jackie, the acclaimed drama starring Natalie Portman as JFK's wife Jackie Kennedy during the week following his assassination.

Mashable saw Jackie at the Toronto International Film Festival and was very impressed with Portman's dazzling performance, which is practically a lock to receive a Best Actress Oscar nomination. With The Birth of a Nation's awards chances threatened by controversy, look for Fox Searchlight to make a strong push for Jackie this awards season.

Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larrain directs from a brilliant script by Noah Oppenheim, and the film will debut in select theaters on Dec. 2 before expanding the following week. A full review will be posted closer to the film's release.
