British Royalty and Pop Royalty joined forces today to create a powerful video encouraging people to speak more openly about mental health.

The video -- which starts at 1:50 -- shows Lady Gaga sipping her morning coffee in her Hollywood abode as she FaceTimes Prince William, who's sitting in his study at Kensington Palace. The pair chatted about the importance of having conversations about mental health; an issue they've both been vocal about in recent months.

"For me, waking up every day and feeling sad and going on stage is something that is very hard to describe. There's a lot of shame attached to mental illness. You feel like something's wrong with you," Gaga told the prince.

"I feel like we're not hiding any more. We're starting to talk. And that's what we need to do really," Gaga continued.

Gaga told William that the two of them need to make the "strongest, most relentless" attempt they can to normalise mental health issues so that people feel they can come forward. "It's OK to have this conversation. It's really important to have this conversation," said Prince William. "You won't be judged. It's so important to break open that fear and that taboo which is only gonna lead to more problems down the line."
