"Who run the show? Girls."

Friday, Oct. 11 is International Day of the Girl, and to celebrate, A Little Late host Lilly Singh let her writers room and studio be overtaken by girls.

"Giving girls more opportunities is super important to me," said Singh. "So I decided to replace my entire crew tonight with a group of young women whose parents graciously let them stay up way too late to be here."

Singh's protégés wrote up the opening monologue, jumped on the decks, wielded the camera, and even did security and stage management. It might be all staged, but it's a pretty awesome moment to see a bunch of girls running a late night show — which shouldn't be a rarity, people.

Singh shouldn't be the only one shaking up the male-dominated late night game.
