Splendid news, Doctor Who fans: 50-year-old BBC story "The Power of the Daleks" -- which was thought to be lost back in the '70s -- is being revived in animated form.

The trailer above -- released by the BBC on Tuesday -- shows how the story will look: an impressively eerie black-and-white animation, which according to the BBC is based on images, audio and surviving clips from the original.

The Power of the Daleks will be available via the BBC Store on Nov. 5, and out on DVD Nov. 21.
