Want to stop your friend from texting while driving? Just make it mega-awkward and give them a gentle hold.

Hello is another ingenious road safety campaign by New Zealand's Transport Agency, which is also responsible for the classic 2011 anti-drink driving ad Legend

The campaign, with the tagline "Put me first, drive phone free," sees drivers who are reaching for their phone intercepted by their passenger's hand in a wonderful display of affection.

While we'd love for the hand holding to be a permanent fixture in cars around the country, we'll give the dirty post-touching looks a pass, thanks.
