Years ago when appearing on The Late Show, Nicki Minaj made up a memorable little rap for Stephen Colbert. Now, back again to promote her latest album Pink Friday 2, she's gone one step further and had an actual rap battle with the host.

OK, so it's only two lines each, but the back-and-forth is certainly an entertaining one.

"High heels, on for Stevie / If I marry Stevie he aint ever gonna leave me," starts Minaj.

Colbert's response? "High heels are not, Nicki / You better hope you never meet my wife, Evie."

"Stephen," replies a mock-stunned Minaj. "Do you realise we just battle rapped each other?"
