Whale breaches right next to an unsuspecting paddleboarder

A paddleboarder got an unexpected greeting from a breaching whale while floating along off the coast in Oceanside, California.

But despite the person's close proximity to the whale, the paddleboarder managed to stay afloat. 

Let this show of natural beauty serve as a gentle reminder that nature is absolutely terrifying and will overtake us all one day.
