If you got all your fictionalized English history from Downton Abbey, then Peaky Blinders is going to slap some sense into you. The brooding and beautiful BBC Two series is coming back to Netflix, with the Shelby family growing closer as their external enemies multiply.

The trailer – scored, as usual, by a gritty rock anthem – shows Tommy (Cillian Murphy) leading his gang of Peaky Blinders against the rapidly encroaching British aristocracy. He balances that with wrangling his belligerent brothers.

Clips show Polly (Helen McCrory) once again enamored by grandeur and happiness, through she hasn't lost her edge or her fierce family pride, and Arthur (Paul Anderson) torn about his loyalties after struggling with depression and addiction. We also get a snippet of what appears to be the wedding Tommy announced at the end of Season 2, but the trailer suggests that those nuptials run awry, as Shelby family events tend to.

Peaky Blinders Season 3 comes to Netflix in the US and Canada on May 31.
