Saturday Night Live is back with quite a bit of ground to cover, including the ongoing saga of Donald Trump's looming impeachment. On Weekend Update, Colin Jost talked about how it's felt to watch it all go down — most notably, how Trump can make something as serious and world-altering as impeachment feel like a full-on rodeo. (Further driving home this point is a clip of Rudy Giuliani screaming on Fox News.)
"[Impeachment] should feel like a huge historic moment, but with Trump even impeachment just feels silly," Jost said. "You know, like the movie Nixon was a serious film directed by Oliver Stone. The movie about Trump is gonna be from the dudes who brought you American Pie."
Disrespectful to the dudes who brought us American Pie, tbh.
