Set your faces to stunned: After months of speculation surrounding casting, production delays and a showrunner switch, CBS All Access' Star Trek: Discovery has finally started filming in Toronto.

A premiere date for the show has yet to be determined, but we do know that the lead role will be played by The Walking Dead's Sonequa Martin-Green, and that Discovery will be set in the "Prime Universe" of the previous TV series, not J.J. Abrams' alternate cinematic timeline.

The show will take place ten years before the events of the original series, and follow Martin-Green's lieutenant commander and her fellow crewmates on the U.S.S. Discovery.
