The Trump impeachment saga is still far from over, and feels as though it's moving at a glacial pace. But as Stephen Colbert pointed out, at least we know it's moving forward: Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced on Thursday morning in a slightly dramatic press conference that she will request articles of impeachment be drafted against President Donald Trump.

"That's right," said the host of The Late Show. "After opening an inquiry into the possibility of impeachment, then reading the impeachment report and considering the impeachment options, we finally made it to the beginning of the end of the starting, and we're about to start the beginning of the middle."

Colbert also spoke about the recent merger between CBS and Viacom, or as he calls them, "the people that pay me."

"The joining of Viacom/CBS means we're gonna get great new crossovers like RuPaul's Star Trek This Morning starring Teen Mom: New Orleans," said Colbert. It sounds like a terrible show, but also incredibly bingeable.
