U.S. video game sales reached new high in 2018

In 2018 there was an 18% increase in video game sales since 2017. Video games also beat North American movie box office sales in 2018, which recorded $11.9 billion. The Nintendo Switch became the United States' best-selling console last year, topping the Playstation 4.
