LONDON -- British diver Tom Daley announced his engagement to screenwriter Dustin Lance Black on Thursday in the most awesome way ever -- with an old-school registration in the back of The Times newspaper.
The announcement was spotted first thing Thursday morning, and the news has quickly spread through social media.

A lot of people liked the fact the announcement was made in the paper (something which may be on its way to becoming a bit of a trend, after Benedict Cumberbatch also announced his engagement to Sophie Hunter in a newspaper last year).

Daley met Black in 2013, and the two have been dating for around two years.

Daley first discussed his relationship with Black in an emotional YouTube video he posted in December 2013.
"Come spring this year my life changed massively when I met someone and they make me feel so happy, so safe, and everything just feels great," Daley says in the video.
"Right now I'm dating a guy and I couldn't be happier."
