So you've bottled up all your feelings. Shut 'em away. Stomped right on 'em. Well, we're about to prise open the floodgates on your stifled tear ducts.

Olympic medal-winning figure skater, published author, and immortal witch Adam Rippon has posted what he referred to as a "joy skate" for his 30th birthday, and it might be the most beautiful, full-body-chill-inducing thing in an age.

In a video posted on Monday, the newly-30-year-old glides around an empty rink to the Joni Mitchell song "River," as covered by Ben Platt in a particularly devastating and poignant moment of Ryan Murphy's Netflix series The Politician.

It will, quite frankly, destroy you.

That one-minute mark, when Platt's voice and Rippon soar above the goddamn clouds? Someone pick me up off this cold hard floor.

The video was filmed by On Ice Perspectives, the brainchild of former Team USA figure skater Jordan Cowan, and that camerawork? Hoo boy. Rippon posted the video to his official YouTube channel, with a particularly sweet message, shouting out Platt and his choreographer, Cindy Stuart.

"Today is my 30th birthday. I couldn’t be more grateful for everything and everyone in my life. Thank you for always sending love and positive energy my way. I hope I’m always able to do the same for you," he wrote.

"I wanted to do something fun for myself so I asked one of my old skating choreographers, Cindy Stuart, to put this together with me. She is amazing. And Ben Platt is also amazing (duh) and when I heard him do a cover of this song I knew I had to skate to it."

While I'm still (still!) waiting for my Hogwarts letter, magic is clearly real, people.
