"I'm like a witch and you can't kill me."

That's an actual quote from U.S. Winter Olympian and immortal sorcerer Adam Rippon. It made its way into a short bio aired by NBC on Thursday.

During NBC's online streaming of his men's short program routine on Thursday, an animated bio appeared offering up several facts about the 28-year-old Olympic medalist.

One: He's the eldest of six children. Pretty standard. Two: He broke his foot in January 2017 and didn't compete for 11 months. Facts. And three...

So, at 28 years old, Rippon's an immortal witch. Unsurprising.

So, is it real? Yup. Rippon's incredible quote comes from a 2016 interview, after he'd won the U.S. Figure Skating Championship, trouncing his then-16-year-old training partner, Nathan Chen.

When asked about anyone who has written him off for his age he said, “I’m like a witch, and you can’t kill me," he certainly said. "I keep coming back every year and every year I get better."

Rippon backed it up on Wednesday, telling NBC, “I can’t explain witchcraft. I feel like I’m coming into my own. I’m confident in what I’m doing."

Damn right. Just look at this fire.
