Around 200 people abruptly left Amy Schumer's recent show in Tampa, Florida, on Sunday night when she began talking about what the world can't stop talking about: Donald Trump.

The comedian, who called Trump a "orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster" and invited his supporters on stage for dialogue, took the opportunity at her next show in New York City on Tuesday night to publicly apologize to those that left her Tampa show.

"Dearest Tampa, I'm sorry you didn't want me—a comedian who talks about what she believes in—to mention the biggest thing going on in our country right now," Schumer said. "How did I think it was OK to spend five minutes having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views?"

"After this show, I want you to know I will go straight to a rehab facility that will teach me how to make all people happy—both the rich entitled white people who will vote for him and the very poor people who were tricked into it," she continued to enthusiastic laughs from the audience.

"And Tampa, I am so sorry. I shouldn't have said that he was an orange, sexually-assulting, fake-college-starting monster," she said. "I will never again say that he is an orange, sexually-assulting, fake-college-starting monster."

Schumer then thanked audience members of Tampa that stayed and those that booed before leaving, as well as fans at Madison Square Garden.

In a statement to People following her Tampa performance, Schumer expressed the need for comedians during this season.

“We have always depended on comedians to make us laugh and tell the truth," she said. "I am proud to continue that tradition.”
