The 2026 Academy Awards was a bumper night for horror, with Sinners picking up four awards (watch Michael B. Jordan's passionate acceptance speech), and Amy Madigan picking up Best Support Actress for her iconic role in Zach Cregger's Weapons.

In her entertainingly chaotic acceptance speech above, Madigan starts things off with an Aunt Gladys-style cackle before nodding to the fact she was last nominated for an Oscar 40 years ago — for 1985's Twice in a Lifetime.

"This is great!" Madigan says. "Everybody's asking me in the press and all this, 'Well, it's been 40 years, what's different about this time?' What's different is I have this little gold guy!"
